Augustine is a diverse, progressive Christian congregation of the United Reformed Church. Our present building was opened in 1861. Rising up from below George IV Bridge, we embody a story that began in one of Edinburgh’s most deprived areas, and reflects our roots in the ‘Radical’ Scottish Reformation.
We invite you to share with us as we explore the relevance of our heritage today through our Urban Pilgrimages. Created with the support of the United Reformed Church, Heritage Lottery Fund and Historic Environment Scotland, the Urban Pilgrimages reflect the values of AUC’s history.
Explore with us how God’s Spirit has been at work in our history transforming lives through the stories of women (herstory), mental health (wellbeing story), our world (greenstory), with more to come.
